Wowsers! I am loving my new find! While on one of my little hunts to bring you new and interesting things that will brighten your day, I came upon Falbala. They supply a range of tights, stockings and over the knee socks all hand embellished with various materials including  Swarovski crystals, gold studs and even rosettes! The two collections are ‘Bijoux’ and ‘Burlesque’ which you can see here. ‘Bijoux’ come in Ruby Red, Raven Black and Electric Blue and the ‘Burlesque’ collection is modeled by real dancers to show them off at their best!

Falbala comes from the French word Furbelow which means ‘a piece of showy ornamentation’ and you can’t get more apt than that! Each design is made by hand  in the UK on top quality hosiery from Italy, and as they are hand made, you are able to commission a design of your own or tweak one that already exists  to your own specification. Karen, the lovely lady behind the brand is happy to go through your options with you and will send out fabric samples upon request.

Upon finding Falbala I thought how great they would be as a colour pop to your bridal party, simple dresses given a shot of colour and embellishment on the leg would look fab and even great for the bride too! How cool would it look on a contemporary, quirky and stylish bride wearing a short and structured bridal dress with popping coloured stockings! Karen tells me they are also planning to add a white and nude option to their range too, so if you are anxious about too much colour but love the embellishment there is something for you too!

Designs are made to sit on your left leg but can be changed to your right upon request and the deniers range from 80-120 so they are strong and comfortable as well as being ultra stylish (that rarely happens!).

Sizing is as follows: 8-14, 16-20, 22-26 and 28-32. They are all 5’0″-5’10″ but if you are any taller they are able to order in longer legs if needed. The whole range is on the website and you can order them online. They are priced from £23-£82, but the price will change depending on any commissions or changes.
