I’m so sorry for slipping off the wedding radar for the last week! I have been busy, busy, busy finding you fabulous new designers and bridal products to feast your eyes on, but first I want to show you Belle & Bunty’s wonderful wedding dress collection!
Recently I featured the amazing What Katy Did Next here, and while looking at all the stunning images I couldn’t help wondering where the dress on the model was from. Belle (Alice Shreeve) and Bunty (Hannah Coniam-Thompson) are a design duo who met at fashion college in 1999 and made firm friends, they went on to set up Belle & Bunty in 2003. Primarily making ready-to-wear collections for women they are well known for their vibrant, hand-illustrated prints and added their bridal range in 2010. Naming the company after a combination of their childhood nicknames, they now have a loyal following and huge celebrity fan base.
They launched the bridal collection with ‘The Willow’, one of the bestselling pieces from their ready-to-wear range as well as the designs of their own personal wedding dresses ‘The Belle’ and ‘The Bunty’. The collections come in Ivory or Cream and are made using 100% Silk fabrics making them feel comfortable and luxurious. The styles are mainly very simple and elegant with a hint of vintage glamour, romantic styles take inspiration from the 1930s and 40s.
‘The Monochrome Willow’ is an Art Deco masterpiece and is perfect for the bride who loves the 1920s/30s. For the bride who wants something a little less traditional, Belle & Bunty is a great place to start the search for that all important dress! Great for destination and City weddings, each design has an unfussy and classic air to it and by using figure flattering fabrics you will be sure to wow your guests and leave your groom speechless!
Keyhole back details seem to be a feature of Belle & Bunty’s designs, lending a sultry side to the feel of the dress and giving your guests something to look at during the ceremony. Feminine and sexy, these dresses will make you feel like you have stepped off a film set, and what better way to feel on your wedding day than the leading lady! Certain styles are also available in a wider range of colours such as Dusty Peach and Teal, so would be perfect as bridesmaid dresses or for the more adventurous bride who doesn’t want to wear white. Prices start from around £1200 and each dress can be completed in 4-6 months or quicker if needed.
